Stephanie Marie Duque Isern has been passionate about immigration and human rights issues since a very young age. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Communications from William Paterson University of New Jersey in 2008. During her undergraduate studies, she completed an Independent Study of Human Rights Abuses in Argentina and Subsequent International Legal Developments while studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Montevideo, Uruguay. She was an intern at the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey (ACLU-NJ) in 2009. Ms. Duque Isern received her Juris Doctor degree in May 2012 from Seton Hall School of Law, where she also won the Outstanding Clinical Practitioner Award for her representation of clients with the Seton Hall Center for Social Justice Immigrants’ Rights and International Human Rights Clinic that year. Ms. Duque Isern is admitted to the New Jersey State Bar. She has practiced before the Immigration Court and USCIS since the beginning of her career, appearing in cases in New Jersey, New York and even Chicago, Illinois, Charleston, South Carolina and El Paso, Texas. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
